It would be nice if there was a way to lock objects magnitude shown and not have it affected by zooming in? Normally the increased magnitude shown when zooming in is good but there are some times when I get the magnitude of deep sky objects set and I'd like to zoom in without a large number of objects showing up. An example is the area around Perseus A. If I set the limiting magnitude to 15 for DSO's I'll get 10 or so galaxies shown but if I zoom in much bunches of galaxies pop up, so many that I can't find the ones I'm working on. A good way to do this would be to double tap on the magnitude button in the center of the - and + plus buttons on the magnitude settings to lock the magnitude at the current setting and tap again to go back to change with zoom.
This can somewhat be done with the Never Show Fainter Than setting but a toggle for magnitude change on zoom or not would be really nice.
If there's already a way to do this I can't find it.
