I just got my celestron telescope and am unable to download the software on my windows 10 laptop.I keep getting a code that says "Code execution cannot proceed because MSVCR 100dl was not found. Reinstalling may fix it. 2 1/2 hours of working on this issue did not resolve the problem. I did do the recommended fixes such as Download Microsoft visual C ++2010 rediistributable package , ran virus scan, computer restore, and windows update. Still same thing. It even said I was successful installing, and then in the end I get that same code. I did use the proper code from celestron I got with the scope, and did do the windows 10 download, What is wrong?

Debbie Matusewski I got it now, after I repeated the procedure again, and turned off and on the computer again. I am getting a new computer, since this old one's hinges are broken and epoxy won't hold. Can I re download on my new computer when I get it? Thankyou

Keiron Smith Hi Debbie,
Thanks for sleuthing out a solution.
Yes, you can download again to your new computer.

Thanks!

mnpd3 Well, that "retrieve" link doesn't work. You'll be able to see previous purchases and even download the software you already paid for but I doubt you'll get it to work... I couldn't after a half-day of trying. Your expected to re-purchase the software.

Keiron Smith The retrieval link works fine.
You can retrieve download links if you previously purchased a downloadable version of Starry Night.
You cannot retrieve download links if you previously purchased a disc-based version.
You are welcome to submit a ticket if you think you should be able to retrieve links otherwise.
Thanks!
