I have the basic app from the apple store for like $2.99 to examine the software. Do any of the versions have the ability to reverse the phone? As in I would love to be able to mount the phone on the base of my telescope where the mirror is because I could use the mount as a counterweight and also it would make for easier viewing from the eyepiece.

Chris Do you mean you want to change the screen rotation between portrait and landscape? I believe all versions do that.

Clay Lovett No
Normally the phone would be mounted with the screen facing back toward the ground using a dobsonian scope. Since my scope is a truss design my wish would be to mount it on the bottom of the scope, where the 10 inch mirror resides. But unless I want to get on the ground to see the screen it would have to be reversed not just as a screen reversal but it would have to work in reverse also. So as I sit with my eyepiece 4 ft off the ground the phone is mounted only a foot off the ground making me look at it in reverse. As it comes if I did that without some type of setting change I would be looking at the stars somewhere over Asia on the phone wouldn't I? -
Chris At the top right of the screen, where it shows the current view in degrees (I.e 1.9° x 3.4°) click that, then click Both on the flip option. Does this do what you want?

Clay Lovett I don't seem to have that option to be able to evaluate it in the basic version so I could not say. I was hoping someone could tell me
