Scope is turned on and iPhone is connected to SynScan network.  Connecting Sky Safari 6 Plus to scope fails.

  Sorry, I am confused.  I have read the links you noted.  It looks like they are running two ios devices.  One for SynScan App and the other for Sky Safari.  Is that right? I have only an iphone.

  Same here, Ned, I have only one IOS device. Unfortunately IOS is limiting apps running in the background, that's why we have this limitation. But there's hope as at least one competitor has already made a working SynScan support for their astronomy app. Based on the developer promises, we might expect something similar on SkySafari. Hopefully soon, but have been waiting since 2018 already... SkySafari team might know more.
