With motorised mounts now being introduced like the SkyWatcher AZ-GTI which allows for a camera to be plugged into the base.
A camera control would be a great feature, so that you do not need a intervalometer(one thing less to remember to charge up and carry).
Ideally with options similar to the ones available with the SynScan Pro app (see screen print examples below) users then have the options to edit/amend/delete/add etc.

I genuinely think a lot of people, especially novices and even seasoned budding astro-photographers would use it.
Just saves on adding extra kit on your camera and remembering to charge yet more batteries etc.
The SynScan pro interface is pretty simple to use and ticks (as far as I can see) all the boxes as well.
It would be great also if it was relatively simple to add that interface.

Not yet. This type of feature has to be evaluated. We don't currently offer camera control in any of our apps. It is on our list of features to consider for SkySafari 7.
Today we released update 6.7.2 which adds support for SynScan Wifi.

Yes, I downloaded the app and tried it earlier.
Seems to be working correctly now, but that was a daytime test.
Just need to test it at night, but looks promising.
