[Feature Request] Request Access To Apollo Lunar Missions Menu Be Moved From IAP Page On iOS

At present, after purchasing the Apollo Lunar Missions, the feature is only available from the In-App Purchases page from within SkySafari Settings.  By contrast, the Interactive H-R Diagram option, subsequent to purchase, becomes visible as an explicit item within the main Settings list.

Exposing the Apollo Lunar Missions via the In- App Purchases page (View Missions), within Settings, introduces a fundamental problem; for devices where in-App purchases are intentionally prohibited within ScreenTime restrictions, the purchased Apollo Missions are not accessible.  The only workaround is to remove the system-wide purchasing restriction.

Please consider moving the purchased Apollo Lunar Missions from the In-App Settings page - and expose the option, after purchase, in the same manner as the Interactive H-R Diagram.

    Sorry, this is not possible.  

    The H-R diagram is installed by default, assumes no extra storage space, and gets unlocked with additional purchase.  

    The Apollo Missions, GAIA and PGC extensions, on the other hand, are downloaded when purchased.  We do not want to pre-install tons of GBs of additional unwanted data.

    Please explain what the issue is regarding ScreenTime restrictions.

    I fully appreciate and understand that optional-purchase modules, such as additional data and Lunar missions, are not included in the main download - for obvious reasons.

    The issue is that “View Missions”, after purchase, only appears within the in-App purchase page.  If the ScreenTime restrictions are set to inhibit in-App purchases, then the in-App purchase page within SkySari Settings  is inhibited from access - and access to purchased Lunar Missions becomes impossible.

    For many reasons, a user may only wish to remove the in-App Purchase restriction to make a purchase - but otherwise need to leave the system-level restriction in-place to prevent other in-App purchases.

    Simply moving the View Missions menu to another location outside of the SkySafari Settings - outside of the current location in the menu structure, will remove this issue.

    I see.  Thank you for explaining.  We can review this for SS7.  It is not likely this will be changed in SS6.

    Thanks for responding.  The fundamental issue, I hope, is now clear.


    If SS7 becomes the eventual fix for this problem, this leads to a further issue - in that in-App purchases for increased functionality (and data sets), unless you are very clever, are not transferrable a new major version...

    Having invested in SS4, 5 and 6, with the potential of SS7 in the offing, this would dissuade many from purchasing [relatively expensive] data sets.

    However, as you have purchased the Apollo IAP already you can still search for "Apollo" and select one of the missions from the search results, and go to the info page about that mission and access the simulations via the buttons found there.
