Searching the Brightest Comets section in SkySafari 6 Pro does not show Comet NEOWISE (C/2020 F3), which is now a naked eye object!
What gives??

Go to Settings > Solar System > Update Minor Body Data
Neowise is included, Mag 1.5 at this time.
Also make sure the time is set to todays date.
I am a (very) long-time iOS SkySafari 6 Pro customer. The problem I am having is that the "Update Minor Body Data" appears to be timing out. I have tried multiple times over two days, and have even re-installed the app. Regardless, when I try to update I eventually get "0 bytes received" message. Is this because heavy request load because of interest in C/2020 F3, or some other cause? Any other remediation options? /PGJ
I have the same problem, 0 downloaded. Any advice?
Hi Paul, Sophia,
Thanks!
I've encountered this problem both on an iPhone SE and an iPad.
Hi Paul,
If you are using a data connection please trying using WiFi and vice versa.
I also have the same versions but do not find any issue updating Minor Orbit Data
Also, another user reported success after repeatedly trying to update Minor Orbit Data; i.e. on the 3rd attempt the data downloaded.
The minor body orbit data for SkySafari 6 Pro takes over a minute to download on my connection. Examining the traffic with mitmproxy reveals that SkySafari returns the "Downloaded 0 bytes" error before the update file has finished downloading.
Configuring mitmproxy to serve the update file from the LAN allows the update to complete successfully.
Thanks, Simon, for sharing your solution for success!
