[UX Issue] Why Is NeoWise Disappearing From Search Results 24hrs After Installing SkySafari 6 Pro?

I re-purchased SkySafari Pro to go from version 4 to 6 for the express reason to be able to search the new 2020 NEOWISE Comet.
First day it worked fine, but 24hrs after installing SkySafari Pro 6 the Object has vanished from my Search List.
I then updated the Near Orbit Objects, to no effect.
I notice from your forums that this is an old bug discussed in 2018. Also note, that I had initially added the Object to my Observation List. I now notes [Unrecognised NEOWISE].
This is obviously most unsatisfactory and I would appreciate your advise on how to resolve this matter asap.

    Hi Barry,

    1. What OS are you running?
    2. How much storage space do you have?
    3. Please attach a screenshot of your list stating [Unrecognised NEOWISE].

    Thanks!

    1.) iOS 13.3.1

2.) Used 123.8 GB of 128 GB. So 4.2 GB free

3.) Object initially added to my OBSERVATION LIST. Day later it states [Unrecognised NEOWISE] - See below

4.) Please note if you view Brightest Comets, you would expect to see C/2020 NEOWISE F3. See 2 images below. It's missing

5.) I updated Minor Body Orbit Data in SYSTEM, SOLAR SYSTEM. This TEMPORARILY results in the OBJECT appearing in the list, but 1 day later it's missing again ... ?

See proof of update below and refer to the 2 screen dumps in point 4 above to confirm it's missing again.

Please advise why the object keeps on disappearing from my Search List, as having to update the Minor Orbit Body list every time is not a workable solution.

    Hi Barry,

Please remove NeoWise from the observing list.  Update Minor Orbit Data again.  Do not add NeoWise to any observing list.

    Let me know what happens.

    Thanks for your patience.

Please also try creating more storage space.  4GB seems like a lot.  But, possibly the issue may revolve around available storage space.

We store the updated orbit data in a "caches" directory.  In theory iOS can delete anything there if it needs disk space.

    Hi Keiron

Thank you for your feedback and suggestions.

1.) I removed C3/NEOWISE/2020 from my Observation List as you suggested.
2.) I also then updated the Minor Body List
3.) I take your point about iOS managing free space in your caches directory, although it is hard to see why this would be necessary with a current 3,6 GB free space.
4.) After step 1 to 3 above, NEOWISE was again in the Search List.
5.) 14 Hours in, I checked again and NEOWISE, was still available in my Search List, so I was cautiously optimistic problem was solved.
6.) 24 Hours after concluding step 1 to 3, I checked again and this time NEOWISE had again disappeared from my Search List, so back to square 1 :-(

I have posted Screen shots below, for you to confirm the steps I described above.

I must also add I don't understand the relevance of having to have removed it from my OBSERVATION LIST and further that iOS would remove this from the SSP6 Search list with 3,6 GB free space.
The only other suggestion I might make that you could investigate, is that I have subsequently realized after purchasing the SSP6 upgrade, is that NEOWISE 2020 is not visible from my location in the Southern Hemisphere and perhaps SSP6 itself is removing non-visible objects ??? I would appreciate your feedback on that.

    Regards

Removing from the observing list is relevant to the automatic syncing that occurs with LiveSky.com, I am trying to see whether the disappearance with related to the sync.

I encourage you to create more storage space, to see if that resolves the issue.  Other users have reported more storage space was a solution.

    Thanks!
