How To Align Meade LS 8 + SkySafari 6 Pro + SkyFi 3? (Answer: Needs Help!)

After the scope has completed its alignment, I turn on the SkyFi and it connects fine to the scope via a new iPad running the current iOS. However it doesn't aim accurately at targets.  Wondering if it might be a setting issue.
