SkySafari 6 on iPad Pro with SkyFi 3 unusable when connected

So, gen 3 servocat, skyfi 3, gen 3 iPad Pro 12.9, external power all around. The app works great with default settings until I connect, then it acts all slow and stupid jumping all over the place, doing things takes a long time for things to respond but gotos work and everything Judy really super slow. Then 10-15m later it disconnects and won’t reconnect until I power cycle the whole setup. Help
