I'm starting a new thread here on a problem which has been described before but without resolution. Thinking that I need to return my SkiFy device as it is just not working for my setup. Please advise how I go about getting an RA#
To summarize:
My setup:
SkySafari 6 Pro on iPhone
SkyFi 3
Meade ETX-125EC with AutoStar 497 controller, 12 volt power supply
In SkySafari settings, I have Scope Type: Meade ETX 60-125, Mount Type: Alt-Az. GoTo
Error:
Connection Failure: SkySafari 6 Pro can make a wireless network connection to the scope, but the scope is not responding. Make sure it is connected and powered on. Also check that your scope type is correct.
I made sure the SkyFi is fully charged.
Scope is correctly aligned and tracking objects
Cable is #505 from Mead and I have checked pinouts - they are correct and loopback test is good.
I verified I can get to the SkyFi settings page from my phone - direct connection to SkyFi network is ok
SkyFi Firmware is 1..3.4, Autostar firmware is latest available
Anything further I can try, if not please provide RA# so I can return the product.
