Successfully connected AVX mount to Skysafari 6 plus using the Celestron wifi adapter. Once connected the mount starts tracking although I have not selected any goto items. There is no option to align the mount using 4 stars etc... I connected using "Celestron wifi" as the type and specified it is a GEM. Under wifi settings for alignment the only option is "allow hibernate". Can Skysafari not align the mount? Also, does it support ASPA?

Keiron Smith Carlos,
Once connected to Celestron WiFi, press the Celestron icon found on the left side of the rate slider.
This will open a submenu of Celestron alignment options.
Please also read the Help > Scope Control Help
Thanks!

Carlos Guevara There’s is no such option. I have various screenshots but unsure how to post them. The scope control window does not have a celestron icon. Thanks.

Carlos Guevara These are the only three telescope-related things I found. I don't see Celestron icon, thank you.

Keiron Smith Press the "Celestron Wi-Fi Setup And Control" button.
Thx!

Carlos Guevara I did. Under “align” the only options is “allow hibernate”.

Keiron Smith Screenshot please. And, are you actually connected to Celestron WiFi at this time? If not, the menu is not available.

Carlos Guevara Yes I am connected to the scope and able to slew it. I’ll send a screenshot later tonight.

Carlos Guevara The other tabs don't have anything useful either.

Keiron Smith Carlos,
Please see here:
You need to manually align on three stars by centering on a star and tapping "Align".
You need to center a star in the scope, select the same star in SkySafari, and then tap Align. Do this for 3 or more stars (I believe you can have up to 10).

Carlos Guevara It’s a shame that skysafari is not integrating full celestron control for standard 4 star alignment and ASPA like the one provided by celestron’s SkyPortal (powered by skysafari 6). My only reason for downloading this app was because SkyPortal is not supported on Mac OS, only iPhone. I was looking forward to controlling the telescope via my Mac but this won’t cut it.
