Your app has many nice observation logging features however they are cumbersome and time consuming to use.
I’d like to suggest an enhancement to automate logging. Maybe a wizard or script that presents each step without me having to tap here, tap there, poking around here and there, many times. A single “Assisted Logging” button or slider could open each step, one after the other. Settings could allow skipping sections if someone doesn’t want to use Slew to, Set Scope Display or Equipment, for example.
Here is the flow:
Tap Observe / Observing sessions / Create new / select “Assisted Logging”, tap X to close
App has a Setting that auto populates the Session Name as YYYYMMDD, other formats or Untitled Session
Select object, (might need a confirmation before Slew To, maybe “Slew To and Log?”)
Scope begins slewing to object
App opens Create New Observation window
Enter Comments, Observing Conditions & Equipment as desired, tap X to close
App opens Scope Display window
Select Field of Views, tap X to close
App centers on selected object
The App should have a button that opens latest observation entry so further Comments, Observing Conditions & Equipment can be entered.
