SkySafari Pro 8 not working

My SkySafari Pro 8 is not working. When opening it is unresponsive for a while (around 30s or so), then it works and after a minute or so it freezes again for another 30s or so. Same behaviors on my iPhone and iPad. What could be wrong here? Upgraded from Sky Safari Pro 7, which has always run fine.
