How Come SkySafari 8 Pro Does Not Detect Celestron Focus Motor, But SS7 Pro Does? (Answer: Focuser Will Be Available In Next App Update For Android And Soon Again For iOS Too)

No icon appears on the menu bar for the focus motor, and there's no focus motor option in the telescope settings.

I'm connected to the Evolution 8 via direct Wi-Fi. The StarSense hand controller, Sky Safri Pro 7, and Sky Portal all detect the focus motor.

  Its in the same place in SS8.

  If these links do not resolve your issue, please provide the following info.

  1. App and version.  See Help > Scroll to the bottom.  Make sure you are updated to the latest version first.
  2. OS version.
  3. Device model.
  4. Short screen recording showing where you are looking for the focus motor.

  Sky Safari Pro 8, version 8.0.0.14

  Sky Safari Pro 7, version 7.6.5.4

  Lenovo Tabet P11 Pro Gen 2

  Android 14

  The focus motor was working in Sky Safari Pro 7, but today while I got the screenshots, it was no longer detected. The hand controller still runs the focus motor. I've attached screenshots of both versions.

  Celestron focus motor is unavailable in the current version, but will become available in the next app update.

  OK, thanks. However, I'm wondering why the focus motor used to work in 7, and has now stopped working?
