I am deliberate about which ID I use, at times, for an observation for two main reasons. First, I import and export between third party software and sometimes that program needs a certain ID and won't recognize the synonym. Second, some IDs are commonly used incorrectly for certain objects and I may use two synonyms, which SkySafari considers to be the same object, for what I consider different objects in other software. For this reason, I need the IDs I specify to be consistent and correct across applications. Steps to duplicate as follows:
1. An example of this is UGC426 (Commonly known as M110). Go to Search and tell it UGC426.
2. Once the info screen comes up choose the 3-dot menu and Create New Observation.
*Sometimes this will create the observations as M110 instead of UGC426 but I cannot find a way to consistently duplicate the problem. I think this also happens sometimes if you center the item (instead of going to the 3-dot menu) and then choose Selection> Create New Observation from the Sky Chart.

The recording is with my date set to 11/6/15. You can see me search on the item, look at the IDs, and then search on the ID I want. After creating the observation and then going to the observation log for the object, it shows the wrong ID for the 11/6/15 observation.
