  For Access Point Mode + Celestron 8SE Mount + iPad + SmartEye WIFI connection.

  Under "Connect a Celestron Mount to SmartEye"

  
  In Step 2.9:

  Note 1 - that after selecting Use Access Point you need to press the “Check Connection Now” button and it will confirm that the “connection was verified”.  Then select Next and Save Presets.

   

  In Step 3.4:

  Note that after completing step 3.4 you should turn off your telescope mount and mobile device and turn them back on to test both equipments are using the SmartEye WIFI connection.
