Request To Allow FoV Rotation With Circular Eyepieces

I would like to see the ability to rotate the FoV for circular eyepieces. When viewing, I sometimes find myself trying to manually rotate my tablet around to try and pick out an object in a crowded starfield full of asterisms. If I could just rotate the view inside the tablet that would make things so much easier!

    Hi Bryan, 

    I am sure developers in fact expect users to rotate the device.

    The views can be flipped, as you likely know.

    I'm not sure what exactly you want in this request.

    Please provide screenshots with markup to better illustrate the idea.

    The way I'm reading his request is something I've been requesting for years, the ability to rotate the star map to match what we're looking at in the experience. Other software such as Guide has had this feature for over 20 years, and it's highly useful in the field. Having to rotate the device over and over while doing notes and going back and forth between the eyepiece, the screen and my notes is a serious annoyance. Apologies if this isn't what you're talking about Bryan.

    Yes, Chris is referring to what I mean. Let me add that sometimes you are also in an ackward physical position based on how your optical tube is positioned in relation to your mount. You can be crouched down or over or on your knees looking through an eyepiece at an ackward angle and rotating the device can be a real pain in that situation.
