There are some things that are off in the Elephant Trunk nebula region which really makes it a pain to export and import observing lists and observations with my desktop software and SkySafari. It also makes it challenging to distinguish what I observed in the field later on:
VdB 142 (van den Bergh 142) is not the small object you show next to LDN1098 because the position is way off. It is also not the long dark nebula behind it that seems to get selected when someone searches on VdB 142 and centers on it.
VdB 142 is a small reflection nebula around the star HD239710 and so it's much further to the East then you have it. The long dark nebula you show behind it is actually the true Elephant Trunk nebula, even though IC1396 is sometimes called that. Here are links to show all the evidence that VdB 142 is a small reflection nebula at a different spot in the Elephant Trunk:

https://app.astrobin.com/i/0wuejt?r=B (hovering your mouse shows the star HD239710, which is in the reflection nebula, labeled)
The Elephant Trunk is most accurately IC1396A or BDN 099+4 even though everything out there seems to use IC1396A. The larger IC1396 nebula is sometimes referred to as the Garnet Star Nebula. If SkySafari going to call IC1396 the Elephant Trunk Nebula instead, then it would also be nice if you could also call IC1396A or BDN 099+R the Elephant Trunk (without nebula behind it) as a common name synonym. I think that would be more accurate for a lot of astronomers. Here are some links illustrating the difference between the two:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/zwoasiusers/posts/2570931526599213 (This one calls it just the Elephant Trunk)
https://app.astrobin.com/i/exwhpl?r=B (VdB 142 is just the small reflection nebula in the interactive)

https://app.astrobin.com/i/258476 (Description calls this the Garnet Star nebula)
The long dark nebula you show as related to VDB142 is actually IC1396A (the elephant trunk) and IC1396B combined. If you want to give the whole thing an accurate ID, which I also like to do in my desktop astronomy software, the only real ID I have ever found for that is LBN 098.83+04.12, which normally has no size in SIMBAD, but I give it a size of at least 39x15. This fits the outline pretty well but you might make it a little larger to include the PET5 stars.
VdB 142 has the actual coordinates of 21h 36m 40s, +57d 30' 00" and a size of 1.2
It would be nice to have a synonym with it. Some synonyms are:
MRCN863, GN21.35.1.02
In many catalogs IC1396 is reffered to as just an open cluster that Tr37 is inside of but SkySafari has no open cluster object for it. So I think it would be good to have some synonyms available for people to distinguish between the large open cluster and the large nebula, as they please, or maybe have an additional IC1396 open cluster object in addition to the IC1396 nebula object. LBN455 is the Cepheus bubble which is more than just the IC1396 nebula. Some better synonyms for the IC1396 nebula are:
PGC3518569 - Nebula
SAC1660 - Nebula + Open
Sh2-131 - HII Region (Could also be a synonym for LBN455)
You could also just add some of the other IC1396 open cluster catalog names, with larger sizes, as synonyms to Tr37 or to IC1396. IC1396 is actually the only one with a size of 170 in its catalog but the other ones should still work. Some of the larger synonyms are:
MWSC3539, OVOC1655, OCL222, SAC1659, APOC3087
Anway, I hope you guys can do something to make this a little better.
Thanks
