Connector Cable / Celestron 8SE / Softwar Error

Hi!

Newbie post I'm afraid! Hope you can help.

Firstly, I'm trying to download the Windows version of Starry Night for my new Celestron NexStar 8SE. But every time I try, I get the error message shown below (and my Internet connection is fine). Any ideas how to solve?

Secondly, I understand that I can bypass the Sky Align process if I connect my laptop to the Celestron via the connector socket at the bottom of the handset. But I can't quite figure which type of USB cable I need (my laptop has a standard USB). Any helpful links gratefully received!
