Why Are Object Labels Not Always Visible Until Zooming In? (Answer: Read On!)

Could you label the North Star a little better? I really had to Zoom in before a label showed up.

  Hey Joshua, that's an interesting critique and one I haven't seen anyone make. I'm wondering if there's not a setting in the app that could cause this. For example, if you turn down your star mag setting, the names will be affected. Do this test. In the right upper hand corner, click on the field of view numbers to bring up a pop up menu box and zoom to 90°. Next, click on the upper left hand on the current location in degrees and tell me what your Star Mag is set to. At 90°, mine is 6.2 and Polaris easily shows its name.
