Skyfi 3 and Orion Goto xt12g

Installed syncscan v5 hand controller on the Orion xt16 Dobsonian. Firmware is up to date Network is talk to the skyfi3 but I get a message that the telescope is not communicating but have verified that the signal to the Skyfi has been received. Using default settings in Skyfi3. I’ve tried different rj-11 and rj-12 cables but straight and crossed cables with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

  1. You are using what program for telescope control?
  2. Did you star-align your scope using the mount hand controller before trying to connect?

  Sky safari, or at least trying to.

  yes aligned it.

  I dropped using the serial cable and now trying with a usb cable connected to the Skyfi3 and the syncscan v5 controller with the same results

  Please attach photos of your USB cables, SkyFi 3, mount, etc, all how it is configured.
