[UX Issue]* Request To Hide The Object Data Panel To Read Object Info Full Screen On An iPad

In SS6 the object data panel was narrower. In SS7 the object data panel has been increased in size to take up half the the screen. This is a waste of space, especially in landscape mode, because the object data is mostly short numerical fields.

Ideally, the info panel with the text description and images should be resizable to take more or less of the screen, or alternatively, the object data panel (basic information, visibility, etc) should be able to be hidden to allow the info panel to go full screen. This would make it easier to read.

Even returning it to the same width as in SS6 would be an improvement.

Please attach a screenshot of the SS7 info and object panel as you see it.

    Thanks!

    Hi Keiron,

In landscape the Basic Information panel is way too wide. You could make it smallr like in SS6, and even better, make the size adjustable.

In Portrait it is hard to read the long narrow column. Maybe it could behave like the iPhone view and be able to swipe between the Text and image panel and the Basic Information panel.

I will ask developers to review your suggestion.  But, can't promise anything.

Thanks for the very nicely marked up screenshots!

I concur with the comments above. I just updated to SS7 and the info panels are not as usable as in SS6. I use SS for public outreach and this issue and the broken image links are big problems.
