I have a question regarding use of SkySafari6 Plus with the ASIair Plus. I was able to get SkySafari6 Plus to work with ASIair plus and the Celestron AVX mount and the Celestron SkyPortal WIFI module. You also have to set up a serial connection using the Celestron hand controller. You have to use the ASIair IP address with ASIair. I then set up the ASIair in Station Model connected to the Celestron SkyPortal WIFI module (IP address Celestron C3). I then connected to SkySafari 6 using the" Celestron AVX/CGEM/CGX" bullet in Direct Mode. I set this up on my Lenovo tablet and it worked great. I was able to do a GoTo on either the ASIair or SkySafari6. The Lenovo table runs under Android 7.1.1.
I also wanted to be able to use my Galaxy Note 8 phone as a backup to the Lenovo tablet. I set up the same sequence but SkySafari 6 would not connect. It gave a no connection error message. I then tried to connect directly from SkySafari6 to the SkyPortal WIFI module both using the " Celestron AVX/CGEM/CGX" bullet and "Celestron WIFI" bullet separately. In both cases I got a connection error. No mater what I tried SkySafari6 Plus wound not connect to the mount. My phone runs under Android 9. I had to keep my phone IP address set to the ASIair IP address. ASIair worked on my phone just fine.
Any suggestions on how to get my Android phone working with SkySafari6 Plus?
