How To Connect From SkySafari 7 Pro To Celestron CPC1100 Through the New USB Hand Controller? (Answer: Use A USB-A-To-USB-Mini Data Transfer Cable)

I use SkySafari Pro 7.  I just had to replace the hand control (HC) on my Celestron CPC1100 (Alt-Az) telescope.  I had no problem connecting via my SkyFi device and either my iPhone 13 or iPad Pro with the old HC.  The old unit was a serial connection using a DB-9 serial connector at the SkyFi and an RS-11 jack to plug into the bottom of the HC.  The new HC is a USB unit with a mini-USB plug on the bottom instead of an RS-11.  I've tried connecting to the scope through this new HC in two ways: 1) a cable with a USB end for the USB port on the SkyFi and a mini-USB at the other end for the bottom of the HC; 2) a DSB-9 plug with a USB plug on the other end.  I plugged the DSB-9 end into the SkyFi and then plugged that whole assembly through a USB to mini USB adapter into the bottom of the HC.  Neither setup works.  SSP7 tells me it sees SkyFi, but is getting no response from the scope.
Are there some settings in the scope control presets I use that differ if I'm connecting to a HC using DSB-9 to RS-11 plugs as compared to HC with USB plugs?  If so, what are the changes?
Thanks,
Steve

I was apparently using a charging, not data, cable.  I picked up a USB A-Mini cable that was clearly labeled for data transfer and had no problem connecting SS7P to my CPC1100 through the USB port on the HC.

An excellent result, can you please link us to the cable you purchased, that works?

Here it is, but any product providing comments about its data rate would be one that should work as it would obviously not be a charging only cable.
