[Telescope Connection] Has Support For SkyWire Between Restored In SS7? (Answer: Read On!)

I originally "upgraded" from v. 6 Pro to v. 7.0.1 Pro only to find that an undisclosed downgrade was removal of support for SkyWire. I requested and received a refund from Apple.

On the basis of the Version History for the recently released v. 7.0.3 "Restores support for SkyWire", I decided to give it another try. If support for SkyWire has been restored, it's not clear how to implement it because I've tried everything I can think of, including deleting and reinstalling the app, and nothing - just keeps looking for a network connection. Either said "restored support" is a lie, or it's totally undocumented so it might as well be. When Kieran answers questions posted before and after your own request for information on how to implement SkyWire, but ignores your request, I think that's a good indicator that there's no interest in supporting this feature, "restored" or not (not to mention that a similar question on the "User Support" forum has gone unanswered for 2 weeks).

Time to go back to Apple for another refund. Version 6 Pro connects seamlessly via SkyWire and it appears that's the only option I have. Good luck to anyone who "upgraded" to v. 7 Pro on the basis of their false proclamation of restoration of SkyWire support.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your feedback.

Support for SkyWire was supposed to have been restored with the latest update.

I will discuss with the developers.

    Thanks for your patience.

    Hi,

    1. Do you have SkySafari 6 Pro and SkySafari 7 Pro on the same iOS device?
    2. Does SkyWire work with SkySafari 6 but not SkySafari 7 on the same iOS device?
    3. Does you have SkyWire plugged into an iOS device that has a lightning port?  Or, are you using an adapter between the SkyWire and the iOS device?

    Thanks!
