[UX Issue]* FOV Indicators Do Not Sync When SN8 On Windows Is Offline

MY PROBLEM:
The personal equipment list and field of view (FOV) work as expected at home.
But at my observatory (with no internet connection) the personal equipment list is empty.
Back home again, the personal equipment list re-appears.
Nothing has changed except the location.

MY QUESTON:
Is an internet connection required to use the FOV with your personal equipment list?
Surely you recognize that many astronomers work from remote locations to find dark skies.

How do I get the personal equipment list to work at my remote observatory?

Using Starry Night Pro 8 with Windows 10.

Submitted request #68439 on 3/25/22. Got a response "developers working on it", but then my request was closed and never resolved.

Please help!!

Keiron, does your post indicate that internet is not required for FOV and equipment? Keiron, if I turn off my wi-fi (in the system panel, lower right), every sub-menu item under the "Observe" menu goes black, even though all those sub-menus are full. The point is - the entire "Observe" menu is internet-dependent, right?

Starry Night 8 should be internet-independent.  This is not the correct behaviour.  The issue is on Windows.  Mac is fine.

Developers are aware of the issue and will release an update.

I will see if I can figure out a workaround until then.

    Thanks for your patience.
