How Come The Scope Is Not Responding Using SkySafari 7 Pro + Celestron WiFi?

I have celestron wifi connected to a cgem mount and I control this through SkySafari 7 pro with my phone. Have always used it without problems until now! I now connect to the wifi but it tells me that the scope is not responding! I have not changed any of the settings all power and cables are fine. I have been through all the settings and they are still how they were when I last used it with no problems. I have gone through the site and read all the other complaints about this issue and none of them seem to have the answers

    David,

    1. What app and version number? See help > scroll to the bottom.
    2. What OS and version number?
    3. What hardware device are you using to make the WiFi network?  SkyFi 3 or Celestron WiFi?
    4. Please attach screenshots of all the app's telescope settings options.
    5. Please attach a screenshot of the error message.

    Thanks!

For some reason I can’t ad a pic but teliscope settings are: equilateral go to mount (German) it’s a cgem mount
    Scope type (celestron wifi)
    Using direct connect

    David,

    Please see here:

How To Add Screenshots To Posts In This Forum On Apple iPhone Browser (Answer: In Browser Settings Enable Desktop Site Option)

Or, share your screenshot with a computer and post them that way.

    Thanks!

Please confirm in iOS Setting > Privacy > Local Network > SkySafari Pro > is set to Enabled.

    Thanks!

I have tested and SkySafari 7 pro 7.0.3 (1044) works fine on iPadOS 15.4.1.  I can connect and control a Celestron 8SE via Celestron WiFi (module).

    1. What iOS device are you using, what model specifically?  Do you have any other iOS device?
    2. Please download and install Celestron's SkyPortal app (free) and try to connect with that instead.  Let me know what happens.
    3. Do you own SkySafari 6 Plus or Pro?  If so, please try that app and let me know what happens.
    4. Is your Celestron WiFi built into the mount, or it is an external Celestron WiFi module plugged into the mount?

    Thanks!

    David,

I'm going to guess you are not using an original Celestron WiFi module.  3rd party modules are not supported.

    Could that be the issue?

    Thanks!

I said in the original post that I am using celestron wifi, it’s not third party ( I’m not cutting corners ) and was working fine for a month or so but then just stopped without changing any settings

I think you should try to connect using SkyPortal on another device - iOS or Android.

This may offer a clue if it is something about the device, or the scope.

Everything seems to be configured properly, so I don't know what to offer at this point.
