Keiron Smith David,
- What app and version number? See help > scroll to the bottom.
- What OS and version number?
- What hardware device are you using to make the WiFi network? SkyFi 3 or Celestron WiFi?
- Please attach screenshots of all the app's telescope settings options.
- Please attach a screenshot of the error message.
Thanks!

David collins -
Keiron Smith Please confirm in iOS Setting > Privacy > Local Network > SkySafari Pro > is set to Enabled.
Thanks!
-
David collins Yes this is enabled

Keiron Smith I have tested and SkySafari 7 pro 7.0.3 (1044) works fine on iPadOS 15.4.1. I can connect and control a Celestron 8SE via Celestron WiFi (module).
- What iOS device are you using, what model specifically? Do you have any other iOS device?
- Please download and install Celestron's SkyPortal app (free) and try to connect with that instead. Let me know what happens.
- Do you own SkySafari 6 Plus or Pro? If so, please try that app and let me know what happens.
- Is your Celestron WiFi built into the mount, or it is an external Celestron WiFi module plugged into the mount?
Thanks!
-
Keiron Smith What Celestron mount are you using?
-
David collins External celestron wifi,
Celestron cgem 1
I have sky portal app and it has the exact same issue
iPhone 12 Pro no other device
Do not have sky safari 6 -
David collins Did you give up on me Kieron? I still have this problem
-
Keiron Smith David,
I'm going to guess you are not using an original Celestron WiFi module. 3rd party modules are not supported.
Could that be the issue?
Thanks!

David collins I said in the original post that I am using celestron wifi, it’s not third party ( I’m not cutting corners ) and was working fine for a month or so but then just stopped without changing any settings

Keiron Smith I think you should try to connect using SkyPortal on another device - iOS or Android.
This may offer a clue if it is something about the device, or the scope.
Everything seems to be configured properly, so I don't know what to offer at this point.
