[UI Issue]* Sessions - Tapping On A Session Displays The Session Info Page Instead Of The Observations Under That Session

I've recently upgraded from SS6 Plus to SS7 Pro.

I've noticed that it's a bit laggy, though I'm not sure if that's the Plus>Pro change or the SS6>SS7 change.

Mostly it's not too bad, but there is one area where it's borderline unusable: navigating the list of existing observations.

In SS6, when you select observations, you are presented with the list of session titles first, and you then drill down from there to individual observations for a session. This was exactly what I wanted, because usually I was wanting to view an observation from a particular session. If I wanted to see all the observations for an object, then I'd do a search for that object, then go to "view all observations". Ideal.

The SS7 UI displays all the existing observations immediately. The problem with that is that I already have over a thousand individual observations (I imagine some users have many more). By displaying observations without the internediate session level, I immediately get a very long list that is unwieldy, responds very slowly, and nearly always glitches by jumping to some random place part-way down, I presume because the UI has been interrupted by all the processing and has interpreted some part of my scrolling action as a discrete press. This is only going to get worse as I add observations.

Can you please re-instate the previous UI flow, with a list of sessions as an intermediate level?

Hi Jamie, does going to Observe-Sessions help?  You can see your sessions there and then tap one to see the observation for that sessions.  You also have access to the search function.  Regards.

Observe>Observing Sessions gives you a list of sessions, but when you click on one, you get the details of that session. There's no way to get to the observations from there.

Sorry Jamie, that's a bug then.  Works as i described in the iOS version.  We'll get it fixed.

Well, it does what I expect with Observe>Observing Sessions - if I click one, I'd expect to see the session details, not observations.

I expect to get observations through Observe>Observations, which it does, except that I think it should display them via a list of sessions first, which is what SS6 did.

[EDIT] Ah, sorry, I missed your screenshot from before. I see what you mean, you display the session details AND a list of the observations. That would do the trick, but yes - it is a bug because in the Android version I don't see that list of observations when I click on a session.

This is working for me on Pro 7.0.5.0 Beta. Looks just like Pedro's screenshot.

Just to tie up this one, I'm now running on v 7.0.5.1 and the behaviour is exactly as described above for the iOS version, i.e. the individual session screen lists all the observations for that session.

    Many thanks.
