How To Connect & Align SkySafari 7 Plus + Orion StarSeeker IV 127mm GoTo Mak-Cass? (Answer: Read On!)

As the title suggests, I have an Orion StarSeeker IV 127mm GoTo Mak-Cass and an iPad running Sky Safari 7 Plus. In the scope set up for Sky Safari an Orion StarSeeker is listed as an option. Does that mean I should expect native support in Sky Safari 7 Plus for my scope? If so, I'm having difficulty getting it to work. I've been using 192.168.4.1 for the IP address and have tried both 4030 and 11882 for ports. That IP is almost certainly correct as it works with SnyScan Pro when I connect it to the scope. The ports I've tried are from various notes I have. I don't know how to confirm that in the technology though.

In the past I was able to tether between my iPad running Sky Safari 6 at the time and my iPhone running SynScan Pro. I cannot tether either with SkySafari 7 Plus.

Any suggestions on how to trouble native StarSeeker support and/or tethering under SkySafari 7?

    Thanks for that. At first read it appears to be tethering-type instructions. I'll work on it this weekend.

    To one of the questions in my message above, am I to take that SkySafari 7 Plus is supposed to provide native, non-tethered support for scopes like mine, that it isn't currently working, and a fix is underway?
