Where Is The SkySafari 7 Pro Wedge Option For Celestron's SkyProdigy 130 + Celestron WiFi? (Answer: Confirm With The Celestron Support SkyProdigy Latest Firmware Supports The Wedge)

I've already read and tried this but no dice

When Connected To Celestron WiFi Where Is The Option To Choose A Wedge Mount? (Answer: Read On!) – Simulation Curriculum Corp.

Scope is Sky Prodigy 130

Profile set to Celestron Wifi

EQ Goto (Fork)

I only see starsense auto and manual without the wedge check box.

MC ver 6.17 for both alt and az if that matters.

How can I get wedge working please help? paid $ for 7 plus and cant get wedge working.

Trying both starsense manual and auto align result in plate solve fail after the first plate solve or alignment error too large.

I swore when I first got the scope there was option in skysafari and the HC for wedge but then I updated the firmware and now its gone from both... downgrading the HC firmware didn't seem to help

I have tried HC version (and assoicated obj/lisa

    Leo,

    1. Connect to Celestron WiFi.
    2. Select the "Scope" button from the main menu.
    3. Find the Celestron icon next to the rate slider.
    4. Select the Celestron icon to open the submenu, within which you will see more options, and one is for wedge.
    5. Please post a screenshot of the Celestron options that you find available in the submenu.

    Thanks!

    Hi any updates?

Funny thing is, the starsense hand controller can auto-align fine on a wedge.  But neither Skyportal or SkySafari 7 plus will align on a wedge (without using the not available wedge option).  Either get alignment error too large or failed to solve (easy to solve plates on alt-az mode) plates.

I thought the Starsense unit do all the plate solving? why does the HC succeed when Skysafari cannot complete alignment?

I would be fine even with Beta/Experimental/Unsupported function as long as I can get it to align on wedge

    Thanks!

    v7.0.5.1

    Samsung Galaxy S21

    Android 12.

Maybe something specific to the SkyProdigy series (built in starsense).  but like I said initially when I first got the scope I remember seeing it in Skyportal.  Only seem to have disappear after I upgrade the Hand controller firmware

    Thanks for the link.

As you said, maybe this is an issue with the firmware, so please also open a ticket with Celestron Support.  Ask them to confirm a wedge is still supported in the latest firmware update.

Amazon Fire tablets are not officially supported.  They were at one time years ago, but we did not find enough support for continuing development.

    Thanks!

Having same problem as above. I'm using a celestro 6se on a wedge with a starsense autoalign and connecting to my phone with the celestron wifi. It aligns perfectly using the skyportal app but does work when using skysafari pro7. I have skysafari set to celestron wifi and EQ goto (fork) . This seems to imply that I'm using a wedge, but there is nowhere to actually checkoff that I'm using a wedge. When I begin to align with skyportal I receive a message stating that the scope should be parallel with its bss and facing south.

Accidently submitted above comment. To add to it- I was stating that when using skyportal I get message instructing me to place scope parallel to base and facing south. When using skysafari pro 7 the message simply instructs me to place scope parallel to base. Appears skysafari hasn't idea that scope is on wedge. Also when going thru alignment process the telescope points in direction it would normally point if not on a wedge i.e. toward the ground. Any help out there?
