skysafari 7 Synscan Link AZ-GTI

Hi - 

Skysafari 7 Pro, Iphone 11, Synscan Pro (1.19), AZ-GTI mount.

I Align and connect typically with no issues, though sometimes the offset in Skysafari is large (5 degrees or so).  Disconnecting and reconnecting often reduces the offset.

My issue - 

My display randomly auto-rotates when auto-rotate is not enabled.  I use in portrait mode and the display will flip to landscape and stay locked that way.  To return to portrait I enable auto-rotate, then orient the phone to portrait, then disable auto-rotate again.   The display rotates back to portrait but is not formatted correctly  - extends about 20% of the display off-screen to the right.  Can't touch the zoom or tilt buttons.  I quit the app, then re-open the app and the display is now correct.  BUT - especially annoying, the tilt to slew function is now reversed.  Tilting up and down moves left right (Az), tilting left right moves up down (Alt).  Have to restart the phone to fix this.

Can you help?  A Bug?

    4. Screenshot of auto-rotate setting/option.
    5. Screenshot of 20% of the display off-screen to the right.
    6. Link to a screen recording including the entire experience if you can.

    Using Skysafari 7 Pro 7.1.3 (1060)

    iPhone 11 iOS 15.6.1

    Synscan Pro 1.19.0

    Motor Board 3.12.A5 in the AZ-GTi

    Auto Rotate Setting at start of my session - 

    Device will auto-rotate to Landscape mode randomly, doesn't happen immediately but usually within 5 minutes or so.  I haven't found an action that prompts the rotation reliably.  Once rotated stays locked that way.  Seems to function normally in all ways while in Landscape mode.  I'll then change the settings to allow auto rotation and the display will return to portrait but looks like this - 

    Note the menu display at bottom is still showing the landscape icons.  Tilt to slew will continue to operate like the phone is in Landscape, Up/Down Left/Right reversed.

    Afraid I don't know how to do a screen recording but I'll research it and if I can, I'll add one to this posting

    Have you tried locking the screen to "Portrait Mode" using Android OS Settings?

    Tried that quickly in testing and it seemed to help.  No random rotation in 15 min. Will try that again at next session.

    Nice hours long session last night.  Once the orientation is locked using the settings in iOS, the behavior is normal.  This allows for use of the phone when driving my mounts.  Thanks.  

    Still should note the "Allow Auto Rotation" setting in the app does NOT address this issue. On my iPhone 11 at any rate, the setting doesn't lock the orientation and consistently results in the screen and control issues noted.  Perhaps a small bug that could be addressed.
