Export current view as equirectangular panorama image

I have a suggestion for a feature. I would like to be able to save the view for current location/time as a equirectangular panaorama (360 degrees horizontally, 180 degrees vertically, in high resolution. I want to use that image to create a paper kit polyhedron of the sky. I intend to use the Flexify 2 plugin for Photoshop, from Flaming Pear software (http://www.flamingpear.com/flexify-2.html). Is. This possible?
