***Before proceeding with this KB article look in Control Panel ---> Windows Update and install every important update that is listed. Then try the SN installer again.
This error occurs with some software applications that use VBScript during the install process. The error means VBScript is not properly configured on your computer.
Solution:
If you are using 32-bit version of Windows:
- Run Command Prompt as administrator:
- Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories
- Right click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator
- Type the following command in the prompt: reg delete "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{B54F3741-5B07-11CF-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}" /f, then hit Enter.
- Next, you must also type the following command: c:\windows\system32\regsvr32 vbscript.dll, then hit Enter.
- You should now be able to install your Starry Night software.
If you are using 64-bit version of Windows:
- Run Command Prompt as administrator:
- Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories
- Right click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator
- Type the following command in the prompt: reg delete "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{B54F3741-5B07-11CF-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}" /f, then hit Enter.
- Next, you must also type the following command: c:\windows\syswow64\regsvr32 vbscript.dll, then hit Enter.

If entering command prompts is not your cup of tea I am more than happy to connect remotely to your computer to do this for you. If you would like my assistance please submit a ticket with the subject "VBScript Error".
If this fails please contact support and request a disk based version of Pro Plus. The disk version does not have this issue.
Kind regards,

I tried the 64bit version procedure above, as I have Samsung 530 64 bit system and also tried the various "Windows 7 compatibly options" and still got the same vbscript error. Finally as a work around I had been using a Vista OS System and so "copied the entire SN Pro + directory (11GB) to my mobile backup DVD drive" and then pasted the Sn Pro + directory onto my Windows 7 system and then added the user info and Starry Night Pro + worked fine.
This does not a fix the install issue but IF your able to install in older system you can "copy and paste the 11 GB directory" unto the new system. requires a bit of time and resources. But better then pounding your head on installations that just does not work in some newer OS systems. I suspect the unable to access vbscript error is causing the compress files to not decompress from 4G to 11GB and so this work around worked OK for me.
