Not yet Kieron. My old V7 appeared with no sky but worked. I upgraded via the application and all seemed well except all my custom horizons were trashed. Decided to do a clean install. Now nothing works. All this on a MacBook Pro with El Capitan installed. Everything else OK.
Now nothing works? Like, the app doesn't start up? You get an error message? What does it say? Thanks!
It just does not start and wants to report the crash to Apple. I think the problem may be that there is no uninstaller with Starry Night and therefore chunks of data are left behind after dumping the application to trash prior to a reinstall. I have now deleted the Simulation Curriculum folder from the Library and will try again.
A clean reinstall results in a box saying Starry Night Pro Plus quit unexpectedly - ignore, report re-open.
Hi David,
Go to Home Folder -> Library -> Saved Application State
Delete any/all folders starting with com.simulationcurriculum.starrynight
They could be similar to the following:
com.simulationcurriculum.starrynight.enthusiast.osx.savedState
com.simulationcurriculum.starrynight.osx.savedState
com.simulationcurriculum.starrynight.pro.osx.savedState
Then retry the app.
That results in a prompt for registration information and once entered it 'unexpectedly quits' again.
Please submit a ticket request for assistance. I would like to remote your computer, if you don't mind.
Please put David Warr in the Title/Subject.

I have now re-installed. It turns out anything below V7.3.2.676 does not install correctly on OSX 10.11 (El Capitan).
Case closed!
Right. Sorry. I had thought you were installing the latest - 7.3.2 is required for 10.11! Thanks sooooo much for sleuthing out the solution! Clear Skies!
I'm on 10.11.2, Starry Night 7 will not launch and when I use the retrieve link I only get my serial number, not a link to download from.
I have OS X 10.11.2 and Starry Night Enthusiast 7 will not launch. I can retrieve my registration info from the retrieve link but this does not give a download link to reinstall the software.

I installed Starry Night Special Edition 6.4.3 the other day that came with my Orion telescope. The sky was visible the first time I opened the application but now it is not visible any other time that I open the application. I am on OS X El Capitan 10.11.2. Help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello Donovan,
We are sorry to hear about that. Please submit a new ticket request here so we can take a further look into this:

A screenshot of the issue you are describing will be very helpful.
Best,
Sophie
Thanks. The discussion here helped me to resolve the issue with my Starry Night Enthusiast, over El Capitan, once I downloaded 7.4 from the download link. Its working fine now.
