*** UPDATE May 1st - We are now beta testing for Starry Night Pro 7. Please apply if you want to be a beta-tester! ***
*******************************************************************************************************************************
Simulation Curriculum is working very hard, rebuilding Starry Night - Version 7! We are getting close to launch!
At this time, we would like to invite a few of our loyal & passionate users to assist us with the beta-testing cycle. If you are interested in contributing to the refinement of V7 - reporting software bugs and other issues specific to existing functionality - we would really appreciate your assistance.
Beta-testers must make an online application. Accepted applicants will receive access to the V7 download and the reporting system.
The beta-test application offers a short text field requesting personal information about yourself. Please use that personal info field to describe your technical qualifications, your previous experience with Starry Night, and your telescope/mount equipment set-up. We are looking for a range of users, and telescope systems.
Please understand that for many reasons V7 beta-testing is restricted to a limited number users and, so, only a certain number of applicants will be accepted into the beta-testing pool.
If you are interested please read through this KB article - which outlines how to apply, how to report, and the kind of reports we are looking for.

A BIG thank you in advance to everyone that wants to assist us with the beta.
Kind regards,

Been looking forward to, and dreaming of the day SNV7 was announced!
Please respond to my submission of some days back on v7.

Hi I'm an approved beta-tester that would like access to the forum.
Is there anyone out there looking after the beta testers? I've asked for access to the forums over the last several days but have received no response.
And I am an official beta tester.
I've just upgraded to SN7 from SN6 and within 10 minutes I've found 4 significant issues that even basic testing would have picked up. Looking at various dates on questions the beta testing 'started' early March and the formal release was less than a month later ??
I am a little confused too. In all other beta testing I have done we went form beta builds, to release candidate builds, to the release version build before actual launch. I was surprised to see V7 announced as available, and I am not sure if I am still testing, or not.
Simulation Curriculum / The Starry Night Team,
Could you please provide some insight and guidance?
Thanks.
Off Subject question:
I noticed a minor graphical oops in Satellite Safari (for iPad) and was wondering how to provide that feedback?
The oops – If you select any geostationary satellite and then select the satellite view, the satellite’s graphical representation orientation is incorrect. The antennae are all pointing away from Earth. Sometimes the orientation is 180 deg incorrect, other times it is at an odd angle.
A second less important oops, the actual graphical representation of any given satellite is not that of the real satellite. It looks like the program is selecting from a small pool of graphical images of satellites, and not that of the actual satellite.

I don't think any questions here are being answered......
