The date and time does not display properly in SN8 after I upgraded my Mac Mini to Catalina 10.15. Luckily my Macbook Air is still on Mojave running SN8.

Keiron, I only wish you had pushed a simple update that gave a popup warning when opening Starry Night. Now its too late for me. Any idea when this will be fixed?

      Hi John,

Apologies, yes we should have implemented the alert via pop-up. On the brighter side, we expect to have the fix released within 48hrs.

Thanks for your patience at this time.

I have Starry Night 6 and have a Blocked Symbol now that I updated to Catalina OS on my Mac. How do I get it functioning so I may download your new update? I am lost.

SN6 is very old now - over 10 years by now. We are not updating SN6 anymore. We presently developing SN8 which is receiving the update, making it compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina. You are welcome to upgrade from SN6 to SN8. You will get a significant discount for upgrading as well.

what Osx versions are compatible with sn8. I have an older mac and am trying to run sn8 on Osx version 10.11.6 or El capitan.

Once I register it once on a computer can I transfer the app to another computer or is it a one time event?

You can transfer to another computer you own. Thx, Isaiah.

Hi, SN Pro Plus 8 now crashes on startup after Apple Security Update 2021-007 10.15.7 (Catalina) is applied on my Macbook Pro. As an aside so does Stellarium. Both applications ran fine until the update. Now both give similar crash dumps indicating a graphics problem. I have a MBP early 2013 with 3Ghz i7, 8 Gb RAM and Intel 4000 graphics. I have included part of the crash dump.

I see the same issue as Richard Holland above. SN Pro Plus 8 will crashe on startup using 10.15.7 (Catalina). Can't start the program at all.

I think other apps are crashing after the 10.15.7 security update. Simply recompiling the app using the latest version of xcode seems to fix this issue. But that also means we need a downloadable updater for SN 8 Pro Plus since the app cannot be updated by itself.

In the link above please explain why re-compiling the app is the solution.

I have followed all the options and suggestions, nothing work, starting the computer on safe mode allows the app to start though it does not work properly.
twice talking to apple support the conclusion is that the developer has to solve the problem, or so they say.
