As an astronomy writer, I often make comparisons between several observing locations. It sure would be nice to be able to switch locations by checking a location that have been "favorited." That is, with a click of a button under the open Location window, it would be nice if I could switch locations with the click of a favorites box rather than having to "Choose Location From List" time and again.

Are you aware of "User Defined Locations"? This is sort of like favorites. If you want a favorites button in the Locations settings, the current scheme only takes one more click. Rather than tap "Favorites", tap "Choose from List and then "User Defined".

Thanks for getting back with me so quickly. Yes, I'm familiar with "User Defined Locations", but it's not "fast enough" when I'm trying to repeatedly change back and forth between locations which I frequently do. Retyping a location name to search the list is a pain just as much as scrolling down a list of names to find it. It sure would be nice to have a continuously displayed list of favorites that I can use with the click of a radio button to jump immediately from one location to another.

Bill Tschumy How many user defined locations do you have that you need to search? Without scrolling you should be able to see 15 to 20 depending on the device and its orientation.

Carl Wenning Okay, I see now. If I select "user defined" rather than "United States" under list the locations, only my user-defined locations show up. This takes care of my problem. I really do appreciate you looking into this and setting me on the right track.
