I use SkySafari 5 Pro to star hop on my Samsung Galaxy S2 tablet.
There are two suggestions that would make SS much better.
1. With the eyepiece circle visible, add an arrow that points to the currently selected object.
I have to often zoom in and out in order to find where to go next, several times during
one star hop.
2. When getting ready to move to the next object, I zoom out to get an overview of the
sky. Say I am just finished with observing an object. The limiting magnitude I set was
15. Now I zoom out to find the next object in the sky. SS changes the limiting mag, but
it still shows way too many stars. So every time I have to manually change by tapping into
the top left corner, and tap - until SS roughly matches the sky. When staring to sky hop, I
change to the eyepiece view and now, SS does not display enough stars, so I have to tap +
again. I have to do this many times and it gets annoying. So, way suggestion is to add another
tap, maybe on the bottom, that brings up a slider that quickly allows to drag it until the
limiting magnitude is what I want it to be. I have attached an image.
(I know I can do this vis settings, but I'm looking for something quick and easy).
Thanks,
Sven
