I bought a Starmaster telescope with a Sky Tracker drive and a SkyFi 3, hoping to use Sky Safari Pro 5 with them. However, I can't get the SkyFi to communicate with the Sky Tracker, as evidenced by not getting a green light or WiFi signal. I have the cross-connected cable plugged into Aux 2 on the Tracker, as the SC website states.
The previous owner said he was able to get them working, but I think it has been too long for him to remember how.

Are you sure you have a SkyFi 3 rather than SkyFi 2? The former doesn't have a green light whereas the SkyFi 2 does.
How are you powering the SkyFi?
You might try doing a reset on the SkyFi 2. Turn the unit on and use a paperclip to push the reset button on the back of the unit.
No, I have a SkyFi 3. It says so on the back. It does not appear to have a reset button. I think the reason I expected a green light is that I was reading obsolete SkyFi 2 information on the website about how to use it with the Sky Tracker. There were no directions with this unit. Is there a manual or anything I can download about the 3?
Now that I know there is no green light, I need to go experiment some more and get back to you. Thanks.

Bill, thank you for your help. The key thing was I didn't believe the unit was working because I couldn't get a green light. Plus, the previous owner had re-named and locked the SkyFi, but never thought to tell me,.and I thought it was my neighbor's Wifi. I had to call the seller, and after a ten minute search, he found the PW. Everything is now working. I'll get those pages.
