How to undo or lock selection?

Often when I'm panning the chart on my iPad or iPhone I accidentally touch it quickly enough that it interprets it as a tap and changes the selected object.  In the past (back through SkySafari Pro 4, now on 6) I've requested an "undo selection" command but as far as I know there's still no way to do this.  Either that or a "lock selection" command where you have to explicitly unlock it to be able to select something else.  Can either, or preferably both, of these be implemented?  I know you can do a Search > History but that's awkward, especially since you can't select from that list without getting the "object info" page.
