How Come SkySafari 7 Pro 7.1.7 (1071) + SkyFi 3 (Ver 1.3.4) + Meade ETX-LS8 ACF (Ver 1.6e) Connects With No Errors But Does Not Control The Scope? (Answer: SS7 Is In Demo Mode)

I just received my new SkyFi III. I setup a Preset for the Meade LS with Alt-Az. GoTo Mount, and it is selected. The IP Address is 10.0.0.1 and the Port Number is 4030. I also left the default Readout Rate of 4 per second and Timeout Seconds default of 3.0. I’ve tried it with “Set Telescope Time & Location” both on and off (default).

After the Meade ETX-LS8 ACF (ver 1.6e firmware) auto aligns, I connect the SkyFi III (ver 1.3.4 firmware) to the ETX-LS8 via USB A/B cable plugged into the USB-B port on the telescope control panel. I then join the SkyFi wireless network and then launch SkySafari 7 Pro on my iPhone 11 Pro Max (iOS 16.2 (20C65). It says it connects to the ETX-LS8 - with no errors, but I'm unable to operate the ETX-LS8 via SkySafari.   The SkyFi and iPhone both have fully charged batteries, and the ETX-LS8 is plugged into AC power. No matter what I tell SkySafari 7 Pro to slew to, the telescope doesn't respond – again, with no errors.   Without the SkyFi III attached, the telescope will slew to whatever I tell it to slew to via the Meade AUTOSTAR III HandBox (34 - 4700 - 13LF JDI REV: B).   I've done a figure 8 with the SkyFi, and I do not hear anything loose inside of it, and I am able to log into its embedded web page, and I see nothing unusual in there.   Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    Daniel,

Did you create a Preset for your Meade ETX-LS8 ACF?

I think you have it in demo mode.

    Thanks!

Please make a screen recording of SS7 when you are connected and using the app the select and go to objects in the sky.

Link the screen recording via Dropbox, WeTransfer, or similar, thanks!
