Can SkySafari Starchart Object Designations Be Customized For Different Databases? (Answer: No - Read On!)

I’ve just tried to submit a request but the form  doesn’t allow you to enter version 7 from the drop down. Also and more importantly despite both submit to forum checkboxes being ticked, they remain red and therefore the submit button does not work. This is using Chrome on an iPad.

 Issue…

I have an observation list containing many double targets. In the observation list these are listed correctly eg STF 326 which is what I searched for.
However on the actual map a different catalog is used as a label, ie HD 18143. How do I get the map to display the Struve labels?

    SkySafari issues are to be posted and discussed in the community forums.  That is why you could not submit the request.

    Objects that belong to multiple databases will be searchable via the different designations they are known by in each database.

    However, SkySafari is only offering the most common designations on the star chart - the designations can not be customized.
