How To Connect SS7 On Android 14 + Synscan Wi-Fi Dongle? (Answer: Read On!)

Hi I have tried all links support sent me 3 times each , Synscan app does connect to telescope but sky safari 7pro will not connect at all tried it loads of times , I still think it has something to do with update to Android 14 Sky safari and also stellariaum mobile was working up to that point , it did update in Dec 2023 next time I got telescope out it would not connect I paid for sky safari 7 pro as the software does everything I need it to do , but I can only use now as reference I am using the Sky Watcher HEQ5PRO with Synscan Wi-Fi dongle and a Samsung galaxy tablet 7lite working on Android 14 and ONE UI 6.0 So I need help to sort this out Kind regards Neil

  I use to connect SkySafari to my Orion Dob via the SynScan app. It's been problematic since updating to Android 13. SkyWatcher USA advertises the app for both SkyWatcher and Orion scopes but if you have the latter they won't help you. If finally found an alternative, read more here.

  You can also read here. The Orion SkyQuest uses the same SynScan control system and App as the SkywlWatcher SynScan Dob.

  I found the Astro-Gadget BT dongle while looking for info about how to get around other issues with the WiFi. My XX12G is a newer model and has WiFi built in to the Mount. But it's still the same as the ones that need the dongle.
