CGE 1400 & error message "plug ins not installed"

Originally from ticket #6493.

I have a CGE 1400 mount which I wish to link to the Starry Nights program. I get message can't be done because plug ins not installed.

Could you please send me the required link so that I may obtain the plug.ins

  Hi Gene,

   

  What version of Starry Night are you using?  Look in Help ---> About Starry Night.  It will be something like 6.2.3.  Please update to 6.3.3 and then 6.4.3 here:

  6.4.3:

  PC: http://www.starrynightsupport.com/updaters/updaters643/Pro%20Plus/Windows/Starry%20Night%20Pro%20Plus%206.3.3%20to%206.4.3%20Updater.exe

  After updating, try connecting the telescope and Starry Night again.  Does that help?
