I need to know how to download from laptop usb port to telescope driver

my usb is connected from my laptop to my nexstar se6 telescope when I go to ascom or starry nights to try and run the scope through my laptop it wont do anything can anyone tell me what I need to do I have everything but this

  Confirm the checklist:

  1. Latest Ascom platform

  2. Latest driver

  3. Latest firmware for paddle.

  4. Latest driver for USB to Serial cable.
