I just got Starry night cd with my new xt10g and cant get it to load on my mac book os x 10.6.8. can you help me?

I've had practically the SAME EXACT PROBLEM! I have a Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Desktop Computer, All-in-one), and I purchased an Orion Short-tube 80 EQ Refractor which came with the Starry Night software. It just won't install!

Just bought Orion Starblast 4.5 and the free software will not work on my mac either, am I doing something wrong?
