The star HIP43587 has Multiple Extrasolar Planets but does not show any Planet information

Originally from ticket #5677.

My question is a general one really. The example specified has 5 exoplanets as far as I know, but no data on the planets is shown in the information page even when I check the "Mark Stars with Extrasolar Planets" option.

Does this mean that if there is more than one Extrasolar Planet for a system it will not show any information?

If that is correct is there any way I can change it so that it will show this information? Maybe by some kind of file load

Thanks
Paul

    Paul,

This is something we should update on our end, but that you can try playing around with yourself if you like. The file called "Extrasolar Planets.txt" in your Starry Night "Sky Data" folder is where this information is stored and read. It's pretty self-explanatory, so feel free to edit it on your own. You might want to make a backup copy first, and NOTE that this file might be overwritten without notice by our automatic-update mechanism.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.
