Please add the "Hour Angle" to the infos about celestial objects in Starry Night

Originally from ticket #6177.

Starry Night Pro 3.1

OSX 10.4

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

yesterday we tried at the Stuttgart obvservatory, www.sternwarte.de, and de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sternwarte_Stuttgart, to anticipate the position of the 3rd and 4th contact of the Venus transit on June 6, 2012 on our local sky.

We use a historical 7" Zeiss refractor with declination and hour angle scales.

Unfortunately only RA and Declination are given, but the hour angle is not given in the position data for celestial objects by Starry Night - see the attached example.

My questions:

Was the hour angle added in the meantime to the newer versions of Starry Night?

If yes, could you please tell me, since which version the hour angle is shown in the specific program window, and could you please send me an example?

My proposal

If not, why don't you add it to this display?

It is still a very basic and highly useful information!

Thank you very much for any answer!

Best regards,

Gunter Woysch
