Why is the time missing from my toolbar?

Originally from ticket #6961.

The time is missing from my toolbar. This is the first time this has happened. I updated when I opened. The triangle appears and I can roll the wheel and the time changes however the time is not displayed. help indicates I am using version 6.0.6 pcew

  Please update to 6.3.3 and then to 6.4.3 here:
